About ToolAcorn

ToolAcorn is a collection of free, fast utilities for developers, AI builders, creators and anyone who works with text, images or files. The site was started in 2026 around one observation: most online tools upload your data to a server even when the task — resizing an image, merging PDFs, fixing JSON — could be done perfectly well on your own device.

Our approach

• Local-first: every tool runs 100% in your browser. Your files and text never leave your machine.
• Simple: press a button, get a result. No sign-ups, no onboarding, no dark patterns.
• Free: the site is supported by unobtrusive advertising, not by paywalls or watermarks.

The tools

The collection spans four categories: Developer & AI (JSON repair, JWT decoding, cron parsing and more), Media & Images (compression, resizing, WebP, favicons, QR codes), Calculators (LLM context, cost and VRAM, plus mortgage), and Text & Files (transcripts, subtitles, word counting, PDF and CSV tools). New tools are added based on reader requests — tell us what you need.

Technology

The site is a fully static build (Vite + TypeScript) with no backend, which is what makes the privacy promise technically enforceable: there is no server-side code that could receive your data even by accident.
